A man hurled a tirade of foul mouthed racist abuse at his neighbour when a row broke out over parking.
Stuart Hubbard, 39, shouted at the woman, referring to her Indian boyfriend, and threatened her with violence.
At St Albans Crown Court on Thursday, Mr Hubbard was found guilty of causing her racially aggravated harassment, alarm and distress by using threatening and abusive words or behaviour.
The court heard it happened on the evening of April 17 last year when the ex-husband of the woman pulled up in a vehicle outside Mr Hubbard’s home in Bayford Close, Hemel Hempstead.
Another vehicle of his was already parked up and Mr Hubbard went out to remonstrate with him about why he was taking up two spaces.
The jury heard a row broke out and as a result the man’s ex-wife opened her front door to tell them to stop.
It is then that Hubbard turned to her and made the racist remarks. He eventually went back inside his house but could still be heard shouting.
Mr Hubbard agreed he and the other driver had got into a row but denied abusing the woman.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report. Mr Hubbard will be back in court on January 30 for sentencing.
