Teenagers at Hemel Hempstead’s Cavendish School were able to grill representatives from some of the area’s leading businesses about career prospects in their industry at an event on Wednesday.
Classroom sessions were organised so that students and their parents had a chance to ask questions about the jobs that interested them.
Among those taking part were representatives from Shendish Manor Hotel, the Box Moor Trust, Pictons solicitors and representatives from the Army, the RAF, Herts Fire and Rescue Service, the health service and Herts County Council’s social services teams.
Gazette editor John Francis, who was invited to speak about careers in journalism, said: “It was a pleasure to support such a well-organised event. Students can’t start thinking about career options too early.”
