A 40-year-old man has been charged with the theft of two false rhino horns from a town’s top tourist attraction
Darren Bennett, of Battenberg Road in Leicester, was charged with burglary after a break-in at Tring’s Natural History Museum on August 27 last year.
The crime was during the early hours, but the Akeman Street museum had replaced the items with worthless synthetic ones because of the demand and high value of the items on the black market.
A court date for Mr Bennett is yet to be set.
