Police have released details of 14 people charged with offences relating to the supply of drugs in Hemel Hempstead following a series of raids in the town on Wednesday morning.
A total of 16 warrants were executed across Hemel Hempstead, Watford, St Albans, Dunstable and North London and involved 60 police offices.
The swoop saw 17 people arrested people on suspicion of a range of offences including conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, burglary and theft.
The warrants followed a long-running investigation into the supply of drugs into the town.
The following Hemel Hempstead people have now been charged and remanded into custody:
Jason Higgins, 26, of Marlowes – supply of class B drugs, handling stolen goods and possession of a controlled class B drug with intent to supply.
Mark Scott, 32, of Midland Road – supply of class A and B drugs
Paul Stanley, 45, of Alexandra Road – handling stolen goods and supply of class A drugs
Matthew Tierney, 39, of Westerdale – supply of class A drugs and possession of a class B drug
Ibrahim Aliaj, 31, of Medway Road – supply of class A drugs
Gerald Donaldson, 50, of no fixed address – handling stolen goods and supply of class A and B drugs
Andrew Lockett, 35, of Hyperion Court, Hemel Hempstead has been charged with supply of class B drugs and possession of class B drugs. He appeared at the remand court but was released on police bail.
The following Hemel Hempstead people have now been charged and released on police bail:
Sade Heritage, 20, of Farmhouse Lane – handling stolen goods.
Christopher Fuhrmann, 31, of Eastwick Row – supply of class A drugs and possession of a class B drug.
Wayne Doran, 41 of Layhill – supply of class A drugs
Debra Nee, 38, of Cleves Road – supply of class A drugs
Stirling Lima, 40, of Martian Avenue – with allowing his property to be used for the supply of drugs.
Three men ages 41, 39 and 54 from Hemel Hempstead have been released with no further action taken.
Dacorum police chief inspector Mike Pryce said: “There was a lot of police activity in Dacorum whilst these warrants were executed and I’d like to thank residents for their patience and support whilst they took place.
“Officers from the tactical teams across the county, supported by Operation Scorpion officers, were involved in executing these warrants, with the main aim to drive down crime and make the area a hostile place for offenders.
“We work tirelessly to ensure our communities are safe and are not blighted by drugs and associated activity, such as burglary, theft and robbery.
“We will continue to relentlessly pursue people involved in such activity and I would ask anyone who has suspicions about someone who may be involved in drugs related crime to contact police so we can act accordingly.”
