A campaign to tackle the theft of catalytic converters from vehicles is being backed by Herts Police.

The force is putting its weight behind The Lost CATS campaign launched by charity Crimestoppers.

The three-month drive aims to encourage people to help combat this type of crime by providing valuable information with rewards of up to £1,000 up for grabs.

Herts police and crime commissioner David Lloyd said: “This new campaign highlights the important role that the public can play in reducing this type of crime, effectively by putting a price on the head of criminals and building on the good work that has already been done in the county over the last two years.”

To report information to Crimestoppers anonymously call 0800 555 111 or complete an online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
