Householders are set to see their council tax bill go up.
Dacorum Borough Council wants to increase its portion of what makes up the annual bill by 1.9 per cent.
The council’s cabinet agreed last Tuesday to put the recommendation – which equates to around a 1p increase per day for a Band D householder – to full council, meeting next Wednesday.
Councillor Nick Tiley, who oversees finance and resources, said: “We are acutely aware of the pressure on household incomes and have tried to keep our council tax increase to a minimum.”
The annual cost for a Band D property will be £173.61 – an increase of £3.24 on last year.
