Hooded robbers strike in Hemel Hempstead

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a woman had her cash stolen by two hooded men in Hemel Hempstead last week.

The robbery took place on Chalfont Mews on Tuesday, March 19 between 8.50am and 9.05am when offenders approached the victim – a woman in her 40s – and demanded money from her.

They then made off in the direction of Datchet Close with the cash – which police confirmed was less than £100. The victim was not injured in the incident.

Both offenders were described as wearing dark bottoms, dark tops with a dark hoods, and scarves.

One of the men is thought to be between 30 and 35 years old with a southern accent, while the second offender was described as being between 16 and 20.

Det Con Andy Roseblade said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence, or may recognise the description of the offenders, to contact Herts Police on the non-emergency number.”
