New look children’s play areas are being launched during the Easter school holidays.
Dacorum Borough Council spent £300,000 installing new equipment in play areas and is inviting families to test it out.
The revamp includes play panels for younger children, basket style swings and climbing apparatus.
Councillor Julie Laws, who oversees environmental services and sustainability, said: “We are trying to make it even easier for children to get active and make the most of the great facilities and green spaces we have in the borough.”
Launch events will be held on: Thursday, April 4, at Butts Meadow, Berkhamsted (1pm to 3pm); Friday, April 5 at Coronation Fields, Bennetts End; (11am to 1pm); Saturday, April 6 at Hyde Lane, Bovingdon; (11am to 1pm); Monday, April 8, at Jocketts Field, Chaulden; (11am to 1pm); Tuesday, April 9, at Warners End Valley, Gadebridge (11am to 1pm); Thursday, April 11, at Lagley Meadow, Berkhamsted (1pm to 3pm); Friday, April 12 at Lockers Park, Boxmoor (11am to 1pm) and Saturday, April 13 at Miswell Lane, Tring (11am-1pm). There will be a chance to enjoy arts and crafts and face painting for free.
