Train operator London Midland has had its franchise extended by the government until June 2017.
Bosses at London Midland, which runs trains through Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring, says it means the firm can focus on continuing to improve its service, investing in stations and developing its 110mph trains to London.
Managing director Patrick Verwer said: “We have seen a continuous period of improvement in our performance since December, and we will continue with our ongoing programme of driver recruitment and training.”
