A business coach has turned his hand to writing self-help books to encourage others to follow their dreams.

Martin Gladdish of Boxmoor has penned The Lazy Optimist, a manual about ‘positive doing’ rather than just positive thinking.

Martin said: “This particular book actually started in my head about seven years ago, but I was a lazy optimist myself then and it wasn’t until someone motivated me to do it that it happened.

“I genuinely want it to help people. It is mainly for those that have wanted to go and do something but, for one reason or another, just never got round to it. There are lots of lazy optimists in the world, and some people almost forget they ever had that dream.”

Martin, whose day job is helping small businesses to become more successful, will be signing copies of his debut book in Waterstones Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, April 13 from 10am until 3pm.

Also a keen amateur magician, Martin promises to have a few tricks up his sleeve on the day.

The Lazy Optimist costs £7.99 and is also available to pre-order from Amazon.
