Youngsters who are hard at work preparing for an Easter production of The Story Of Noah won’t be the last to create memorable shows with the help of the Vivo D’Arte theatre team.

Plans are under way for Discover the Power of Performance, a summer festival of music and theatre including two full productions.

There will be a youth group production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber box office smash The Phantom of the Opera, which will be performed by young people aged 15 to 21.

This will involves an intensive two week rehearsal period – three weeks for principals – with performances in late August.

There’s also 13 The Musical, which is designed for performers aged 12 to 15. Again it involves a two week rehearsal period, three for principals, with performances scheduled for August 8 to 10.

Both shows will be staged at Rudolf Steiner School in Kings Langley.

Also on the calenadar are Uno Celebrazione, a concert during which students and members of Vivo D’Arte will perform a variety of songs from shows performed over the past year, and there are two theatre workshops planned for the summer for younger performers – Goldilocks And The Three Bears is aimed at ages five to eight, while Wind In The Willows will be for those aged nine to 12.
