Where there’s muck, there’s brass, or so the saying goes – and that’s certainly the case for a specialist collection, clearance and recycling company.

Waste King, in Frogmore Industrial Estate, Hemel Hempstead, has seen a growing number of orders and a doubling of turnover in one year.

Waste King moved to its current premises a couple of years ago and is celebrating a milestone of processing a whopping 10,000 orders.

Managing director Glenn Currie said: “Despite the currently challenging economic climate – and while other companies are going out of business – Waste King has now broken the £1m turnover mark.”

Directors Glenn and Andy Cattigan formed the company in 2007 because they wanted to ‘do something to help the environment’, and say a high degree of customer service is a major contributory factor to Waste King’s continuing success.

The firm offers waste collection and recycling for domestic and commercial customers.
