Firefighters rushed to tackle a blaze at Berkhamsted Cricket Club this morning.
They were called just after 9.35am and found a shed well alight in its grounds.
The fire had also spread to a nearby shed, but crews from Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead had extinguished the flames by just after 10am.
They are still damping down the area to ensure embers do not start new fires in the cricket club’s grounds.
UPDATE:
Herts Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Gemma McKelvey said fire crews had left the club’s grounds by 10.30am. The cause of the fire was said to be accidental.
