A man in his 70s was taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car this morning.
Paramedics rushed to the scene in Combe Street, near Hemel Hempstead Library, after a 999 call just before 9.20am.
They took him to Hemel Hempstead Hospital, but the East of England Ambulance Service later said that he only suffered minor injuries.
Paramedics were also called to a two-vehicle smash in Crabtree Lane, Bennetts End, just before 8.10am today.
But East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson later said: “After checks by paramedics, there were no injuries.
“We left police to deal with the incident.”
