A COUNCILLOR has announced details of how he will spend £90,000 set aside to be spent on road repairs next year.

Under new rules, Herts County councillors are given the money to spend within the areas they cover.

Berkhamsted member Ian Reay has so far set aside £78,569.18 to spend on sections of the town’s Gravel Path, Beech Drive, Castle Street, Upper Hall Park and London Road.

He said: “They are all heavily used by lots of people and quite close to the centre of town.”
