A group has been given £10,000 in government funding to improve Hemel Hempstead town centre.
One of the ways Hemel Hempstead Town Centre Partnership intends to do that is through Hemel Launch Pad which wants to find new business ideas to support with a free market stall and a big launch into the world in August.
Applicants will receive four free training sessions and mentoring to develop business plans. The Launch Pad mentors will then review the business plans, and those with the most potential will be awarded a grant of up to £500, additional one-to-one mentoring through the set-up period, a cost free market stall and marketing support to rocket their business idea into the real world.
The new businesses will be launched on Hemel Hempstead Market in August.
Those who believe they have an idea for a business should apply, before June 16, via the website www.hhtcp.co.uk. And it doesn’t matter if you don’t know the first thing about business, all you need is a spark of inspiration, organisers say.
