Police will give advice to people on how to avoid becoming victims of crime at a special event this Saturday.
They will be at Pets at Home and Halfords in London Road, Apsley, between 11am and 2pm.
The team at Halfords will give tips on keeping bicycles, homes, garages and sheds safe from burglars and mark cyclists’ bikes with their postcodes.
The markings will make it easier for police to return stolen bikes to their owners if they are ever recovered.
The team will also encourage people to register their property online at www.immobilise.com
Halfords has donated 50 packs of anti-theft numberplate screws, which it will fit to your vehicle for £2.
The Pets at Home police team will encourage dog-walkers to join Dog Watch, reporting to police anything suspicious they see while walking their pets. The cost of micro-chipping your pet will be cut from £15 to £10 for anyone who joins Dog Watch.
