A sleepy village will become Planet Wilstone as its annual fete and dog show takes on an alien theme.
People are encouraged to wear fancy dress to the event in Wilstone Village Hall and Recreation Ground, which begins with a procession at 12.30pm on Sunday.
It will be opened by ‘Queen Jane of Wistonia’ and her two donkeys in space costumes.
The Wilstone Showgirls will then perform a space-themed dance.
Member Jill Walker said: “We are like girly Thunderbirds.”
There will be dog shows where pets can win rosettes from 1.30pm.
There will also be a bouncy castle, space hopper obstacle course, barbecue, beer tent and more. The fete goes on until 5pm. Daleks will also be at the event.
