Some outpatient appointments have been cancelled at Watford General Hospital after a clean water pipe burst this morning (Wednesday).
It has caused ‘significant problems’ to a number of medical services including radiology, the fracture clinic and endoscopy.
Paul Gough, spokesman for the West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We continue to provide an emergency service and are working with our local healthcare partners to ensure the impact on our emergency patients is minimal.
“However, this issue is causing significant disruption to a number of elective services and it has unfortunately been necessary to cancel a number of outpatient clinic appointments. These will be re-booked as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone concerned about an outpatient appointment can call the patient advice and liaison office on 01923 217198.
