A dementia committee in Tring has taken the next step towards a Dementia Friendly Community status by involving the town’s businesses.
Dementia Friends Tring is part of a national initiative run by Alzheimer’s UK, designed to help communities understand what it’s like to live with the condition and how to include sufferers in the community.
The group now wants to involve all customer-facing organisations – such as dentists, hairdressers and cafes – as a way to help achieve this.
Chairman John Allan said all businesses in Tring have been invited by letter to the next meeting in the High Street Baptist Church on Sunday, June 30 at 6.30pm.
Those who attend will be able to understand the practical things they can do to help with the initiative.
