A man who researched the founding fathers of the industry in which he has always worked has written his first book.
Richard Evans, a former journalist who moved into public relations, has published the only biography of First World War correspondent Basil Clarke, who later became the UK’s first public relations officer.
Richard, of Boxmoor, said: “I couldn’t believe no-one had ever written a biography on him. I hope the book leads to raising Basil Clarke’s prominence, he led a remarkable life and I felt his was a story that needed to be told. I am glad to be able to do that.
“Hopefully next year’s centenary will encourage people to pick up the book as it shines a light on a part of the war many people know very little about.”
From The Frontline: The Extraordinary Life Of Sir Basil Clarke is on sale on Amazon from Thursday.
