Objectors to plans to redevelop Little Hay Golf Course will meet with those behind the project tonight.
Concerned householders from Bourne End are meeting with golf, developer and council representatives at The Watermill Hotel in London Road, Bourne End, from 6.30pm.
The Gazette had planned to attend but has since been informed that the meeting is not open to members of the press.
People living close to the Bovingdon golf course are worried about plans to bring in tonnes of recovered waste to create the new landscape, the proposed use of Bourne End Lane by construction trucks during the works and also the chopping down of trees.
Dacorum Sports Trust, which runs the site, has previously assured that the use of recovered material will be in line with legislation and will contribute to national recycling targets.
It also said that new trees will be planted and new wildlife habitats created including woodland, wildflower meadows, wetland and open ditches.
