A dad will cycle from London to Cambridge to donate to the charity that helped when his son was struck down by bone cancer.

James Wigg, 16, of Bennetts End, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma just days before Christmas in 2010.

After treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery to remove his left knee and part of his thigh bone, he is now in remission and set to start sixth form in September.

Dad Michael has set himself the cycle challenge to raise cash for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, which raises awareness and funds research into finding a cure.

He will be saddle up on Sunday, July 28. To sponsor him go to www.justgiving.com/mick-cycle-london-cambridge-wigg
