An auction night to boost the already sky-high funds for a mum’s crucial cancer treatment was held on Friday.
Team Natalie, a group of parents from St Rose’s Catholic Infants School in Hemel Hempstead where Natalie Arseni’s daughters are pupils, organised the auction, disco and barbecue event with the support of many Dacorum-based businesses including The Marchmont Arms, which donated a meal for two.
In total, the fundraiser pulled in an extra £3,972 for Natalie, on top of the existing total which already stood at more than £18,000.
A summer performance held by St Cuthbert Mayne school also brought in £779 for Natalie’s cause, while pupils at John F Kennedy School became the latest in a long line to hold a dedicated non-uniform day.
In a post on the group’s Facebook page, Natalie said: “I thank you all from my whole being for making my future and this present time a ray of sunshine, filled with such warm love and generosity.
“I thank all the mums who made all these wonderful events happen and all who have come and supported them to fundraise and to make them such a great success, on all levels.”
The mum-of-two is currently having chemotherapy but still hopes to use the money raised to have groundbreaking treatment in New York. Visit facebook.com/TeamNatalieStRoses for more.
