Families and friends flocked to The Pheasant in New Mill on Saturday to enjoy food, drink and live music – all in aid of charity.
KMD, an open-mic and live sound specialist, collaborated with the pub landlords to organise the day which included a raffle, from which they hoped to raise £1,000 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Endometriosis UK.
Prizes took a distinct musical theme with a ukelele, guitar strings and harmonicas up for grabs, as well as a day in a recording studio, an electric guitar and a snare drum worth £400.
The pub’s weekly open mic nights meant there was no shortage of talent, and a full bill of artists played on well into the evening.
A host of different musicians – from solo artists to full bands – congregate every Thursday at 8pm for an evening of jamming and socialising.
