Dacorum Borough Council will be showcasing its plans to improve the heart of Hemel Hempstead’s shopping area.
The proposed improvements for the pedestrian area of the town include more play facilities for children, better seating, decorative lighting, more trees and a central town square for events and performances.
The recommendations are part of the Hemel Evolution scheme to revitalise the town.
Leader of Dacorum Borough Council Andrew Williams said: “Our aim is to transform the shopping area into a unique place that people will want to visit again and again.”
The plans will be displayed at the Roundhouse Volunteer Centre in Marlowes from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, August 10.
Council staff will be there to discuss the improvements and visitors will have the opportunity to share their views by completing a questionnaire.
There will also be free face-painting for children and a chance for budding artists to join a professional street artist who will be painting a temporary mural on the Roundhouse.
