Bigwigs from one of the biggest names in food are heading for Hemel Hempstead next week – and you can grab a pizza the action.

The new Domino’s Pizza outlet at Kier Park in Hemel Hempstead – part of the Travelodge complex on the edge of the Maylands industrial area – is the organisation’s 2,000th outlet in Europe.

So next Thursday representatives from Europe, the Middle East and Asia will join UK chief executive Lance Batchelor and franchisee Arshad Yashin to celebrate in style with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11am and a celebration cake at lunchtime

There are promotions planned including a double happy hour from noon to 2pm, where customers can purchase a two topping personal pizza for just £1, and chances to win pizza for a year.

The first 50 customers between 10am and noon on Thursday, August 15, will get a free pizza and the firm’s Rays of Sunshine corporate charity will also be involved with the day of fun.

Domino’s vice-president Eric Anderson: “To reach our 2,000th European store is a real achievement and we are very excited about coming to the UK to celebrate the day in style.”

Franchisee Arshad said: “I am delighted that my store has been chosen as the 2000th European store, it is a great honour.”

“We want our customers to come and join in the fun and help us celebrate.”
