Workmen have been warned to be on the look-out after tools were stolen from two vans overnight.
Criminals broke through the back doors of a Ford Transit van in Howards Drive, Gadebridge, between 7.30pm last night and 6am today.
They also stole tools from a van in London Road, Apsley, between 10pm last night and 7.40am today.
Police spokesman Cath Shepherd said: “If you can’t remove all your tools from the van at the end of a day’s work, try to park your van in a locked garage if you have one.
“Consider investing in a secure safe-type storage box bolted inside the floor of the van.”
