The P E Mead farm shop on the outskirts of Wilstone village was highly commended in an awards ceremony that took place for the very first time this year.
The Chiltern Society Farm Shop Award is a brand new initiative that was launched in April, designed to celebrate and reward local food producers and suppliers.
Chiltern farm and brewery shops were invited to enter for the award, before the judging phase commenced.
As well as the public voting for their favourite shop, Chiltern Society officials visited all contenders to score them on how well they met the criteria, which included the quality of produce and the range of products.
Society officials said competition was fierce but the overall winner was Seasons Farm Shop in North Dean, Buckinghamshire. The best runners up will receive a certificate of commendation.
