Eleven new car spaces will now be created in a Hemel Hempstead street in a bid to solve a long-running parking crisis.
The new places in Ritcroft Close will be installed as part of a £400,000 two-year verge-hardening project by Dacorum Borough Council.
The authority will pave over verges in a number of areas to create the new spaces in an attempt to end the problems some people have parking close to their homes.
The Ritcroft Close plans were approved at a recent meeting of the council’s development control committee.
Chairman Graham Sutton said: “The residents of Ritcroft Close have got parking that they have long requested, so it has improved the area considerably.”
