ELECTRICAL giant Dixons will be supplying gadgets and gizmos to the well-heeled when the firm takes over the electronics section of luxury department store Harrods next month.

The company, headquartered in Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, has turned its fortunes around over the past three years by cutting costs, overhauling stores and improving customer service.

Now the firm will be taking over 11,000 sq ft of space on the third floor of the famous Knightsbridge department store, offering computers, hi-fi equipment, TVs and accessories.

Dixons boasts the concession will be ‘at the forefront of store design’.

Operations director Sebastian James said: “We are delighted that Harrods has recognised our market leadership and the compelling offer our team and our new service brand KNOWHOW can give customers.

“We look forward to working closely with Harrods and to providing its customers with the very best in terms of both product range and service.”

David Miller, director of home, furniture and sound and vision for Harrods, said: “At Harrods we are completely client-centric and are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to meet our customers demands.”
