Up to 35 part-time jobs will be up for grabs at a recruitment open day in a Hemel Hempstead supermarket.
The newly-redesigned Asda on Hillfield Road will be offering a range of work opportunities throughout the store, including positions within the new Home Shopping department.
Until recently, food shopping ordered online used to come from the Watford store but the service will now be run from Hemel Hempstead, bringing in between 15 and 20 job vacancies.
There will also be the chance to apply for store assistant and delivery driver jobs, all with varying shift patterns offering around 20 hours per week.
Positions are open to anyone, including recent school-leavers. Those interested in applying for any of the available roles can come along to the open day this Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Everyone must bring along a copy of their CV and valid ID, and delivery driver applicants must have a clean licence and at least three years’ driving experience.
Store section leader Lee Stafford said: “We certainly haven’t had a recruitment open day at the store for a long time, and it is a really good thing to be able to get involved with the public. It is an exciting opportunity for people to come along to.”
