A Wednesday morning running programme has been launched to raise money for charity, and the first session will be held next week.
Each 10am session costs £5, or you can pay £36 for the full nine-week training course, which meets at a different location each week.
Money from the Hospice Running Club will go to Northchurch-based The Hospice of St Francis.
There is a different exercise each week, whether it be hill sessions, speed work or longer distance off-road trail running.
The course ends with a trip to Milton Keynes for the five-kilometre ‘parkrun’ at Willen Lake.
The course will be led by Paul Owen, author of The Joy of Running – For Those Who Love to Run, which was published on Monday.
Paul – who is a partner at Berkhamsted law firm Sumner & Tabor – often does extreme runs, his longest to date being 109 miles.
