A heritage attraction has been reaching out to more and people – not just in the Herts area, but across the world.

During the past few months Frogmore Paper Mill in Apsley has welcomed people from across the Commonwealth as it hosted a day of the Global Natural Fibre Forum, as well as students from Michigan State University and the College of New Jersey to help with their research programmes.

The historical site, which houses the world’s oldest mechanised paper machine, has also been busy promoting itself in the local area through selling tickets on the popular online voucher club, Groupon. More than 300 visitors will come through its doors as a result.

The Paper Trail’s Peter Burford said: “It has been a great opportunity to get exposure to a wider group of people without up front costs. And we have had lots of international interest, which has been great.”
