Two nine-year-old boys have got together to host a fundraiser after a youngster at their school became poorly.
Pals Adam Jobling and Archie McHale were going to hold a front garden table top sale but it has snowballed into a church hall fundraiser.
They are raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and chose the good cause because a four-year-old boy from their school – Bovingdon Primary Academy – is currently receiving treatment at the specialist hospital.
The duo have also roped in their friends to man table top sales at Bovingdon Baptish Church, off High Street, on Saturday, October 5 from 1pm to 3.30pm.
And businesses have pledged raffle prizes and cash to help out too.
Adam’s mum Joanne said: “They have done it off their own backs. It is amazing at just nine years old to be doing this. It is really thoughtful for their age.
“They have both said they want to give it all to charity. They are saying they want to help the children at the hospital to get better.
