A selection of the opportunities available this week through Volunteer Centre Dacorum.

Do you have a passion for learning together with the skills and time to become a trustee for Dacorum Communities for Learning?

This home-grown charity offers new learning opportunities and runs affordable courses in IT, languages and the arts in community centres in Hemel Hempstead and Tring.

The charity needs a new treasurer to help oversee the finances of the organisation. Tasks include bookkeeping, invoicing and making monthly reports to the committee.

The right volunteer should have an understanding of charity finances and be proficient in Excel.

The current treasurer will be around to offer training and advice for the next 12 months.

Another vital role for this established charity is the trustee secretary.

A new volunteer is needed who can deal with deal with correspondence and communicate with other organisations including the Charity Commission.

This role will take around two hours of your time each week. Trustees meet every two weeks at Warners End Community Centre.

If you have good IT skills and a PC at home, this could be the role for you.

The Salvation Army is looking for a responsible person to become their parent and toddler group leader.

You should have experience of working with children in a child care or learning environment and have good people and organisational skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives. The group meets on Thursdays from 9.45am until 12noon.

The Dacorum Cultural Forum needs a speedy and accurate minute taker to join their project.

The forum has four morning meetings per year where they discuss arts, sports, culture and heritage as well as planning and organising events.

If you are excited by all aspects of culture and have experience of minute taking, this team would like to hear from you.
