A support group for sufferers of prostate cancer and their families is encouraging others in Dacorum to get in touch.
Secretary of the Aylesbury Vale Prostate Cancer Support Group Roger Wotton said: “Men traditionally find it hard to talk about the symptoms, so we aim to raise awareness and help individuals tap into a network of fellow sufferers.”
The group – which merged with the Haddenham and Thame group earlier this year – will next meet at Stoke Mandeville Hospital’s Postgraduate Centre on Mandeville Road, Aylesbury, on October 22 at 7pm.
Professor Peter Hoskins will be talking about the latest developments in treatment.
Roger asks that those interested call him on 01442 822161 beforehand.
Roger, 63, from Wigginton, said: “If it means one or two people pick up the phone, then we’ve achieved something.”
