A young singer songwriter from Aldbury has made it to the final stages of a national music competition.
Sophie Ray, whose debut EP Fiction Of You was released this summer, competing for a space on MTV’s coveted unsigned talent list, Brand New for 2014.
Sophie, 23, said: “It feels absolutely incredible. Some of the artists I’m up against are amazing. It’s a massive opportunity to get exposure.”
Since graduating two years ago, Sophie has spent her time writing, recording and gigging – and has more than 70,000 views on her YouTube channel.
