With post levels about to hit a Christmas peak, Royal Mail bosses are patting themselves on the back about hitting delivery targets.
They say that addresses in the HP postcode area served by the giant delivery office in Hemel Hempstead’s Maylands Avenue received 95.2 per cent of all first class mail delivered the next day between April and September.
The organisation’s Quality of Service report reveals that it beat the targets for both first and second class post in the first half of the 2013/14 financial year.
Delivery director Richard Simpsonsaid: “Our postmen and women are delivering to one of the most challenging next-day performance targets in Europe.”
