People are invited to give their suggestions for the name of a new school for Hemel Hempstead.
It comes as West Herts Community Free Schools gears up to put a formal planning application to council chiefs for the redundant school site in Highfield’s Jupiter Drive.
If given the green light by Herts County Council the building – which closed in 2007 – will be demolished and replaced with a modern two storey structure.
Project manager Susan Poole said: “The cost of building a new school is less than refurbishing and extending the old school building.”
An open day for people to find out more is being held at Grovehill Community Centre on Saturday, December 14 from 10am to midday.
Email name suggestions, which must include the words ‘Community Free School’ to westhertscommunityfreeschools@live.co.uk
