Two friends have signed up to a dance competition as a couple after realising they would never be able to persuade their husbands to dance to their beat.
Tracey Woof and Lynne Moore, from Hemel Hempstead, are one of the first couples to sign up to the Hospice of St Francis Strictly Learn Dancing competition, with lessons starting in the new year.
Tracey, who will be playing the part of the man - even donning a beard - said: “I love watching Strictly on the BBC on a Saturday night and have wanted to learn to dance for ages. My husband often works away in the week and was unable to commit to the rehearsal schedule so, when my best friend Lynne, in a flash of brilliance, asked me to be her partner, I jumped at the chance to take the role of the man.”
Even though their husbands are not taking part they’ve promised to be at the finale in March to cheer for their dancing duo, who will be performing the samba and Argentine tango.
