A Sainsbury’s supermarket in Hemel Hempstead raised more than £800 for Age UK after holding daily raffles in the run up to Christmas Day.
Manager of the Woodhall Farm branch Mike Judge said: “We raised a fantastic £866 over four days, and that will be going straight to Age UK.”
Store colleague Cathy Poulton worked hard to secure top prizes for the four-day raffle, which was open to customers and staff.
Mike said: “The best one was gold tickets to see Saracens against the Harlequins at Wembley.”
