A WOMAN will have to pay out more than £3,000 after being found guilty of benefit fraud.
Barbara Feander aged 39, of Thumpers, Hemel Hempstead, pleaded guilty to failing to notify Dacorum Borough Council of her change in circumstances when she started living with her partner in November 2010.
It resulted in an overpayment of £2,804.37 in benefits and she was sentenced at Watford magistrates Court on Friday, March 23 following the council’s successful court action for benefits fraud.
She was ordered to pay the money back, fined £65 and ordered to pay £200 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
