POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run left a woman seriously injured.
The pedestrian, aged in her 20s, was hit by a silver car on the pavement of Aycliffe Drive in Grovehill, Hemel Hempstead, at 6.25pm on Sunday.
The car did not stop and sped off towards Cambrian Way in Highfield.
Sergeant Sam Cordingley from the Beds and Herts Road Policing Unit said: “We’re fully investigating this collision and are actively looking to trace the vehicle involved.
“I would urgently like to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw the car or pedestrian prior to the collision, or if you saw the collision itself or the car driving from the scene.
“If you were the driver of the car, please contact police immediately.”
