TWO mums who teamed up to take on charity feats in a bid to get rid of their ‘jelly bellies’ will run the Brighton Marathon for the second time.

This time Sally Perkins, 36, and Becky Stephens, 40, pictured left, will be running on Sunday, April 15, for the Centre in the Park, the day facility for old folk in Gadebridge Park.

Sally – mum to Lucy, 14, and twin four-year-old boys Jamie and Lewis – found out about the centre from her partner Ian Hurnell, whose company provides free CCTV to the good cause. The pals ran the marathon last year for the Hospice of St Francis – mum-of-four Becky suggested it after they had taken part in the charity’s Midnight Walk.

Mobile hairdresser Sally, of Woodhall Farm, said: “When you do the marathon there is a buzz about it that just makes you want to do it again.

“To raise money and awareness will be a good thing because a lot of people don’t even know the centre is there.”

To sponsor the pair call Sally Kingswell at the Centre in the Park on 01442 262746.
