Alan Kemp has now left his position as clerk for Berkhamsted Town Council.
He was due to leave on Monday, April 30 – but left on Friday after booking the rest of his time with the council off work in annual leave.
Former Berkhamsted Citizens Association chairman Susan Johnson will now become interim clerk until the vacancy is filled.
