THE Hospice of St Francis is inviting carers and their companions to a garden tea party next Thursday.
There will also be retail therapy opportunities at its base just off Shoootersway in Northchurch during the 2pm to 4.30pm event.
The event marks National Carers Week, which aims to highlight the vital work done by those who provide unpaid care for someone who is ill, frail or disabled.
Hospice social worker Polly Traxler said: “This is just one of a number of events, support sessions and activities that the hospice provides for carers to help make their lives as easy as possible.”
