Bike-riders are being urged to be vigilant because cycle theft is a continuing problem across the borough, despite a number of recent arrests.
Police officers in Dacorum have recently made several arrests in relation to bike thefts, but pedal cycles are still being targeted especially by offenders who are keeping an eye out for high value machines.
Riders are being asked to review security arrangements to reduce the risk of their bike being stolen, and register their rides at www.immobilise.com so that they can be identified and returned if found.
People are also reminded to dial 999 if they see anyone interfering with an unattended bike.
