Adeyfield School
Students at Adeyfield School are celebrating the best set of results in five years.
Outgoing head Peter Hepburn said the results are a ‘good note to go out on’ as he prepares to retire.
“There were several aspects of the results which were pleasing with nearly a third of all grades being of an A standard,” he said.
“Several students including Bobby Collins, Beth Hoskins, Haider Khan, Jaimie Lee Scotchbrook, Kieran Moore and Martin Taylor secured three As in their results and a significant majority of students have been accepted for their university places.”
Also among the stars was Daniel Lockett, who got two As in maths and further maths and a C in chemistry, and will be going to Birmingham University to study maths.
“I’m very happy,” he said. “It’s a bit of skill and a bit of luck.”
Longdean School
It was smiles all around at Longdean School as the ‘vast majority’ celebrated getting into university.
Headteacher Graham Cunningham said: “The results are very pleasing. The vast majority of our students have got their university of choice.
