A woman has been banned from driving for 30 months after failing to provide a breath specimen when she was stopped on suspicion of drink driving.

Severine Vigroux, of Durrants Lane, Berkhamstead, was arrested in the town’s Beech Drive after it was reported to police that she had been drinking in the nearby High Street.

The 32-year-old was taken into custody just after 6.45pm on Monday, October 1, and she was charged the next day.

She appeared before St Albans Magistrates Court on Friday, where she pleaded guilty to failing to provide a breath specimen for police analysis.

She was ordered to pay a £500 fine, £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge as well as being banned from driving for 30 months.
